MANUFACTURING
HGC Engineering has conducted acoustical audits
and acoustical assessment reports, noise contouring and workplace
and environmental noise studies for a wide assortment of manufacturing
facilities in Canada.
Xerox Research
Facility, Oakville, Ontario
Compliance with the environmental noise emission limits was verified
for this large scale and complex research and production facility,
using sound intensity analysis. Despite significant interference
from the traffic noise produced by the nearby expressway, HGC Engineering
was able to demonstrate acceptable sound emission levels toward
obtaining environmental approvals.
Kraft Foods Canada,
facilities throughout Ontario
HGC Engineering undertook initial pre-audit screening assessments
and detailed acoustic assessments for many Kraft facilities throughout
Ontario.
The projects included assessment of existing operations,
acoustic design of new projects, and noise control measures to achieve
off-site sound level limits. Sites included Cobourg, Niagara Falls,
and locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Owens Corning Fibreglass
Facility, Toronto
HGC Engineering undertook an acoustic assessment of this large scale
production facility in 2004 to 2006, both toward consolidating the
environmental approvals and in anticipation of process expansion.
The expansions were completed in 2005, with no net increase to the
sound emissions of the facility.
