An acoustic baseline audit of this large-scale coal-fired power
plant was undertaken by HGC Engineering in 2005, in contemplation
of future alterations/expansions to the facility. The applicable
sound level limits were established based on the existing ambient
sound levels in the vicinity.

Bechtel Power Corporation
HGC Engineering solved a structure-borne community noise problem
for this combined cycle power plant. Sound intensity techniques,
surface-structural intensity measurements, and vibration analysis
methods were used to identify the source of the problem.
Jamaica Broilers
Cogeneration Plant, Jamaica, WI
HGC Engineering was contracted to assess noise emissions from this
16 megawatt cogeneration facility comprised of four Wartsilla reciprocating
engines, remote radiators, a heat recovery steam generator and an
absorption chiller plant.
Barbados Light
and Power Company Ltd., Barbados, WI
HGC Engineering carried out sound intensity measurements, ambient
noise measurements and a survey of neighborhood noise using sound
power determination and ISO 9714 source ranking.
