An acoustic baseline audit of this large-scale coal-fired power plant was undertaken by HGC Engineering in 2005, in contemplation of future alterations/expansions to the facility. The applicable sound level limits were established based on the existing ambient sound levels in the vicinity.

HGC Engineering solved a structure-borne community noise problem for this combined cycle power plant. Sound intensity techniques, surface-structural intensity measurements, and vibration analysis methods were used to identify the source of the problem.
